Questions

The things families ask us first

Why do I need to commit to a full term?

Progress can’t be made overnight. We believe the best outcomes come from consistent, structured support over an entire term. Trying to put a Band-Aid on the problem rarely produces lasting results, whereas weekly sessions allow us to build skills, confidence, learning habits and genuine academic progress.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require at least 24 hours’ notice for any session changes. Students may reschedule one session per term, subject to tutor availability.

What happens if I’m running late?

Depending on your tutor’s availability, we will always do our best to accommodate you. We may be able to extend slightly beyond your scheduled finish time, however if your tutor has another session immediately afterwards your lesson may still need to finish at its scheduled time.

Do you offer online or in-person tutoring?

Yes. We offer both online and in-person tutoring and believe they are equally effective.

How do I get to your office?

The easiest public transport is via New South Head Road, using the 324 or 325 bus travelling in either direction.

Do you work collaboratively with schools and other providers?

Absolutely. With your permission as both the parent and student, we’re very happy to liaise with schools and other professionals involved in supporting your child’s education. Any meetings or work outside the tutoring sessions would simply be charged separately.

Do you offer group tutoring?

Not currently, although we’re looking at introducing this in the near future. If this is something you’re interested in, please let us know.

Can I change tutors?

Absolutely. We spend a significant amount of time upfront learning about both the student and tutor to ensure we make the best possible match from the beginning. However, if after a term you don’t feel it’s the right fit, please let us know and we’ll do our very best to find a tutor who is better suited.

Something we haven’t answered?

Tell us about your child and we’ll come back to you personally.
